The world’s largest chip manufacturer asked Channels Worldwide Group to develop an online marketing toolbox, allowing local agencies to promote and deliver marketing services to partner program members using centrally managed MDF. The toolbox solution utilises existing business systems and so has had reduced development costs.

Design

Using existing systems, we designed a business process that allows partner program members to:

  • Review online all available services offered by marketing services agencies in their county
  • Purchase the service using available MDF funds
  • Liaise directly with the agency for delivery of the service to a pre-defined specification

Solution

The solution allows the country team to make decisions on the services needed by their members and identify the local marketing agencies able to deliver these. The Marketing Store allows for the service to be set up and promoted in local language. In addition, the member always has visibility of available MDF funds.

We developed an end-to-end process based on the issue of an electronic PIN code by the supplying marketing agency. This identifies the scope of the service being offered and the financial value. This PIN code is then passed through the transacting process and is finally used for invoice reconciliation between the supplying marketing agency and finance.

All transactions are linked to central accounting that ensures services can only be purchased with available MDF funds, subsequent purchases are automatically deducted from that fund.

The service was initially piloted in three countries: Russia, Germany and Turkey, it has since rolled out across EMEA.
